Troublesmiths is a social enterprise delivered by Impact Communities, powered by Workskills Tasmania. Troublesmiths is for Young People 15-24 years to create and sell products on-line and at a retail shop in Hobart. It has a ‘whole of community’ focus where local businesses and community members partner to achieve great results; giving Young People real life exposure to work, employers, local communities and beyond. 

Our growing Youth Social Enterprise is looking for a motivated Facilitator to work alongside young people (YP) to focus on goal setting, responsibility, strengths, aspiration building and tangible employability skills. Candidates should have the skills and ability to help YP realise their potential and achieve their goals.

About the role

This is full time opportunity working 38 hours per week. The Troublesmiths Facilitator will support the commercial and operational management of Troublesmiths and will facilitate the various facets of assisting young people to achieve their potential through coaching and skills development.  In this role you will support and empower young people to gain practical experience in design, manufacture, promotion, IT, web-design, stock control, administration, retail and job readiness.  

What we are looking for in you

Essential:

  • Creative, innovative and analytical approach with meticulous attention to detail
  • Demonstrated experience working with Young People from a diverse background
  • Ability to build strategic working relationships and partnerships
  • Relevant tertiary or equivalent job related experience
  • Willingness to undertake a Working with Vulnerable People Check and a National Police Check

Desirable:

  • Experience in group facilitation 
  • Experience within the employment or community services sector 
  • Current Driver’s Licence
