Workskills Tasmania proved very helpful for Tyler in building his professional profile and acquiring the skill set he needed to follow his ideal career path. Despite having a Certificate III in Information and Technology, he faced challenges landing an IT role due to no prior experience in the industry.

His coach, Denita, guided Tyler to participate in job preparation sessions like 𝘍𝘭𝘪𝘤𝘬 𝘥𝘢 𝘚𝘸𝘪𝘵𝘤𝘩 and doing a Certificate III in Business while he looked for jobs. This helped him gain valuable insights into organisational dynamics and business structures, preparing him for success in a corporate environment.

After navigating multiple interviews and thoroughly analysing his learning opportunities and strengths with his coach’s help, Tyler developed the niche to crack the interview at DXC Technology. Soon after completing his CERT III in Business, Tyler started a full-time Service Desk trainee role with DXC Technology and is currently loving it.
