Workskills’ Participants Makes Good Use of Launch Into Work – Early Childhood Education and Care Program

Launch Into Work

What a place to run into an old friend!

Madison and Annalee expressed their interest in pursuing a career in the childcare industry, which reconnected them at an information session for the Launch into Work—Early Childhood Education and Care program. Madison participates in our Transition to Work program, while Annalee participates in Workforce Australia Services.

They were both assigned to Gaia’s Nest as part of their work placement, and having each other’s back positively impacted their experience. Not only did they successfully complete the program, but they also secured a spot on the roster at the Childcare Centre right after, boosting their spirits sky-high.

The program’s success extends beyond Madison and Annalee, as a total of Six of our participants from the first batch of the Early Childhood Education and Care Program are on their way to entering the workforce.

At WorkskillsTasmania, we celebrate not only milestones but also the journeys that lead to them. Madison and Annalee’s story reminds us that dreams are within reach with determination, tailored support, and the right opportunities. Their excitement was infectious, and they sounded very grateful to their respective coaches, Serena and WendyC and our activity officer, Natasha, for encouraging them to embrace the opportunity and offering appropriate assistance. Despite facing barriers to employment, they persevered and are now taking on the roles they are passionate about.

Here’s to many more success stories that can be made possible with excellent initiatives like Launch into Work!”
