Louise has demonstrated an outstanding commitment to personal development throughout her participation in the ParentsNext program.
Engaging consistently in the program’s morning tea feedback sessions, Louise utilised the forum for constructive feedback and discourse on individual needs and objectives and how the ParentsNext program can assist. She also leveraged the occasion to interact with our Chief Operating Officer, providing her valuable insights.
Louise worked closely with her mentor, Candice, to analyse and understand the career path ahead of her. Candice initially helped her accommodate a casual role in a cleaning company by facilitating her Working with Vulnerable People Check (WWVPC) and addressing logistical challenges through car services and fuel vouchers for commute purposes. However, this role did not work out for Louise.
In response, Candice further focused on working on Louise’s job readiness and resume writing before she was directed towards our Employer Services team to enable her to explore various employment opportunities. Soon, Louise’s meetings with our Placement Officer, Imtiaz, aided her in securing a position with Leopard Cleaning Services.
Louise is currently settling in well and finding her feet with her new job. Her employer has been flexible with Louise’s need for specific work schedule to make it work around her caring responsibilities.
Louise’s journey displays the transformative potential of the ParentsNext program in delivering focused mentorship, and resources to succeed. We commend Louise on fulfilling the goal she has set out to achieve and anticipate her continued growth.
