At Workskills Tasmania, we get enormous satisfaction in the success stories that emerge from partnerships creating meaningful employment.
After studying at UTAS and working in a few casual and part-time opportunities, Leigh has come to register with us in Workforce Australia Services. He was looking to secure a full-time and sustainable role in administration and accounts. Our Employment Coach, Rae, recognised Leigh’s potential and swiftly connected him with Employer Services Officer Avril. Through this synergy, Leigh’s path led him to an incredible opportunity at Foodbank Tasmania.
Foodbank Australia is Australia’s largest food relief organisation, operating on a scale that makes it crucial to the front-line charities feeding vulnerable Australians.
Leigh was successful in his interview at the Foodbank, where Avril’s expert assistance and his employer – Carole’s encouragement proved invaluable. His further dedication and perseverance during a three-month probation period led to him being offered a full-time employment contract. Today, he continues to excel in his role with commitment and resilience.
We wish Leigh continued success in his journey and extend our heartfelt appreciation to Foodbank Tasmania for opening its doors and embracing Leigh’s potential. It’s not just about employment; it’s about empowering individuals to reach their full potential and contribute to their communities.
