Our Transition to Work leadership team and youth coaches from all our sites successfully pulled off a unique gathering at the youth centre to commemorate the first anniversary of the Transition to Work program here at Workskills..
Witnessing them stepping out of their comfort zones and fully participating in the day’s activities was a blast. Dressed as their teenage selves, their vibrant smiles, crazy outfits, creativity, and laughter lit up the room. The unique strengths of each team member were on full display, creating an atmosphere of camaraderie and connection. The interactive event created new relationships, and we saw friendships forming between colleagues who met for the first time or reconnected after a long year.
The BBC Comedy Game sure has brought out the lighter side of the team members, showcasing their personalities beyond their work roles. It helped create a sense of authenticity, where team members could let loose, share laughs, and celebrate their achievements as they marked their one-year milestone. We suppose all the unique and enjoyable activities contributed to the overall positive and vibrant atmosphere of the event, making it an unforgettable experience for everyone involved.
The day was filled with heart-warming moments, including affirmations shared among team members, culminating in a delightful celebration with pizza making and finishing it off with a cake and an after-party.
We extend our heartfelt thanks to Sophie, whose exceptional planning made the event possible, and shout-outs to Caitlin, Samantha, and everyone who contributed to the event’s success. A big thank you to the Senior Leadership Team and WAS Leaders for their unwavering support, allowing the TtW team to take this valuable time to connect and learn together. Such opportunities are rare, and we are immensely grateful.
The team’s energy and dedication to helping young people were also reflected in the impressive results we’ve achieved this year. Here’s to many more years of success and making a positive impact on the lives of young people as we continue our journey together!”
