The future looks promising for Wonita!
She has just completed her Career Transition Assistance (CTA) program with the help of our Employment Coach, Cara, and the CTA Coordinator, Mark. The program is specifically designed to support individuals aged 45 and over in developing the skills and confidence needed to succeed in the local labour market.
Wonita required thorough assistance navigating technology. We began with the basics, such as setting up and familiarising her with an email account to ensure she stayed connected with important communications. However, with the digital literacy skills provided by CTA, she has gained a significant amount of confidence in using digital technology for job applications and approaching potential employers.
While Wonita already has a prospective employment opportunity lined up with only a few pending verifications, such as the Working With Vulnerable People check, she is excited about the all-new possibilities this program may open up for her. Cara looks forward to continuing to support Wonita every step of the way as she works towards achieving her employment goals.
